Little Sprouts Amesbury is known for its warm, inviting atmosphere and strong sense of belonging. Our team believes every child deserves an equal opportunity and a strong early childhood education. With nature centers in every classroom, dedicated cozy spaces, and many teachers who have been with the school for years, families experience a true neighborhood community as well as high-quality care and early learning.

We are conveniently located on Sparhawk Street/Route 150, just outside downtown Amesbury. Families are welcome to park in our on-site parking lot or in the church parking lot across the street during drop-off and pick-up. Both options offer convenient access to the school.

We stay closely connected with families through open communication, weekly and monthly newsletters, and regular NSP surveys. Throughout the year, we host family events such as open houses, Grandparents’ Tea, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, and ice cream socials. In the community, we partner with Our Neighbors’ Table for an annual food drive and support local back-to-school supply efforts with Hedgehog General Store.

Our school has two age-appropriate playgrounds with brand-new equipment and materials. The toddler playground is designed for children 15 months to 2.9 years old, and the preschool playground supports children from 2.9 to 6 years old. Both spaces give children room to move, explore, and build skills safely outdoors.

At Little Sprouts Amesbury, we follow small-group ratios that help teachers build meaningful connections with each child. Our infant classroom typically has up to 10 children with a 1:3 teacher-to-child ratio. Toddler classrooms follow a 1:4 ratio, with up to 9 children in each room. Preschool classrooms have a 1:10 ratio and can enroll up to 20 children, and our kindergarten classroom also serves up to 20 children with a 1:10 ratio.

We offer several enrichments that support the whole child. Children benefit from the Choose Love curriculum for social-emotional learning, Seed & Sew resources that support both families and educators, the Learning Without Tears writing curriculum, and the Heggerty curriculum for early literacy. In addition, our school enjoys music every other Wednesday, bringing movement, rhythm, and fun into the classroom.
