Providing a safe, nurturing, engaging environment is crucial during a baby’s first yeara time in their development when the entire foundation for all future learning and behavior will be set. Our infant classrooms are safe, cozy, nurturing environments filled with developmentally appropriate toys and materials that babies can explore freely to stimulate their development and inspire growth. Working together with parents, we will establish a daily routineone that closely aligns with your home routinewhich supports a sense of security for children.

Growing minds & moving bodies

In our infant classrooms, development happens through connection, movement, and meaningful play. We create nurturing environments designed to spark curiosity and support your baby’s natural growth. Through exploration and interactive experiences, infants begin to build essential cognitive skillslike memory, recognition, early problem-solving, and understanding cause and effect.

At the same time, we focus on physical development by encouraging both fine and gross motor skills. With open, uncluttered spaces and no stationary devices, your child is free to roll, crawl, reach, grasp, and sit upbuilding the strength, coordination, and confidence they need to move through the world around them. Every interaction, toy, and routine is thoughtfully chosen to support whole-child development from the very beginning.

Connecting, communicating & exploring

Babies thrive on secure relationships, rich interactions, and sensory discovery. Our approach is grounded in creating strong emotional bondsproviding the comfort, consistency, and affection your child needs to feel safe, loved, and confident. These secure attachments lay the foundation for healthy emotional development and lifelong learning.

Even before they speak, infants are eager communicators. In our language-rich environments, we encourage early expression through sounds, gestures, facial cues, and sign language. With daily reading, singing, and responsive conversation, we nurture your baby’s ability to understand and be understood.

We also support your child’s natural curiosity through multisensory exploration. Soft textures, gentle music, engaging visuals, and hands-on experiences help infants make sense of the world around thembuilding early connections in both the brain and the heart.

My son has been going to Little Sprouts in Arlington since January. He's in the infant room with Miss Izzy and Miss Christina. They take excellent care of my son, he is always so happy when he sees them at drop-off. I just love getting the pictures during the day and seeing the fun activities they have him doing. We are happy we went with Little Sprouts in Arlington!

Our child has been enrolled at Little Sprouts Watertown for almost three years. Since our first day, the Management team and all of the Teachers have been excellent. Anytime there has been an issue, a question, or a need, they have always taken the time to listen, understand, and demonstrate their commitment to our child's growth and success. A great facility with a truly wonderful team of professionals!

Our boys have been at Little Sprouts in Amesbury for a year and a half and a year, respectively, and in that time the staff has become more like an extension of our family. The teachers care deeply about the well being and development of the children and aren't shy to share their concerns or highlights, which we appreciate so much. We've seen incredible growth of social skills, language skills, and more and will be so sad when age out of Little Sprouts.

All 3 of my children attend Little Sprouts. As a parent, I am very grateful for all of the teachers, staff, and the director for the wellbeing, learning curriculum, and positive environment they create for the children. I am confident that my kids are in good hands when I drop them off every morning.
