The Preschool & Pre-K Classrooms

In our preschool and pre-K classrooms, children thrive as they channel their curiosity and energy into playful exploration, expressing their individuality and celebrating the unique qualities of their friends.

Ages 2.9 years to 5 years

The preschool and pre-K years are a time of tremendous growth as children expand their processing, social, and foundational learning skills. During this developmental stage, children are eager to learn, explore, and express themselves. Our preschool and pre-K classrooms are designed to support this critical period by fostering independence, creativity and a love of learning. We provide a rich, engaging environment that encourages hands-on learning, social interaction, and skill-building through play across key areas of your child’s development.

Nurturing curious minds and caring hearts

Preschoolers and pre-K children are naturally curious and eager to connect with others. Our program nurtures this curiosity and fosters strong relationships by providing experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and meaningful play. As children explore early literacy, math, and foundational academic skills, they also learn empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution through guided social interactions and group play. Our caring teachers model positive behavior, support emotional growth, and help children build the self-confidence they need to thriveboth in learning and in life.

Growing strong bodies, bright minds, and creative spirits

As children grow, they develop the physical, cognitive, and creative skills that form the foundation for lifelong learning. In our schools, active play on state-of-the-art playgrounds helps build strength, balance, and coordination, while fine motor skills are strengthened through hands-on activities like drawing, cutting, and writing. Language and literacy development is woven into every part of the day through storytelling, singing, and engaging reading instruction that builds vocabulary and fosters a love of books. At the same time, our thoughtfully designed environments invite children to explore the world through art, music, and imaginative playsparking creativity, building confidence, and encouraging new ways of thinking and understanding.

Hear from our families

Our son is always happy to go to school at Little Sprouts and loves to give all the teachers hugs. I’m so happy his first teachers have been so loving. Everyone has been wonderful about accommodating his schedule.

Our child has been enrolled at Little Sprouts Watertown for almost three years. Since our first day, the Management team and all of the Teachers have been excellent. Anytime there has been an issue, a question, or a need, they have always taken the time to listen, understand, and demonstrate their commitment to our child's growth and success. A great facility with a truly wonderful team of professionals!

Ms. Nicole and Ms. Tanisha are the best! Our son has been going to Little Sprouts in Wilmington for a couple of months and we are very impressed with the care and early education he receives at a such young age. He is in the toddler class and through play and activities he is learning so much. The teachers are caring, competent and really stick to a routine and a curriculum. Thank you Little Sprouts and the entire staff at the Wilmington location!

We’re so thankful for the amazing care our 2-year-old daughter receives at Little Sprouts. The team is incredibly thoughtful and attentive — especially when it comes to managing her food allergies, which gives us such peace of mind. They’ve made her (and us) feel so comfortable from day one. Our daughter comes home happy, singing new songs, chatting about her teachers, and proudly showing off her arts and crafts. It’s clear she's not only safe, but loved and truly cared for.

We have been attending Little Sprouts since our daughter was 5 months old (currently 2!) and have loved all of our teachers Miss Donna, Miss Nicole and Miss Talisha (plus the other helpers!). Our daughter thrives in school and looks forward to going. These teachers have been a huge part of our daughters development since the start. We feel confident and comfortable with our daughter at LS. The weekly Miss Robin is a great director and we appreciate her support and accommodations when needed!
