FRIENDS Friday – 1/26

In Amesbury, FRIENDS Friday by Little Sprouts

Hi FRIENDS,

It’s hard to believe this is the last Friday of January! Where has the first month of the year gone?! I hope you all have a good weekend before the BIG one coming up a week from now. Go Pats!

Speaking of teams we should cheer on, please join me in celebrating the fabulous infant classroom in our Amesbury school. I am delighted to share a glowing parent testimonial that I received this week. Here it is:

“Hi Jess, Hi Rachel;
Your ears may have been ringing this weekend, as Jack and I were discussing how truly pleased we are with the infant care our child has received from you both at LS. We were recalling how mixed our emotions had been, since our first child transitioned to the school as a Toddler, and we didn’t know the program or either of you, and it felt like a big leap of faith to leave our son, at first.
However, I can wholeheartedly say I never once felt concerned that he was not well loved or very attentively cared for by each of you. Knowing you both loved him as we do made such a huge difference, especially as he had his early challenges. Under your care he developed into the silly, funny, HAPPY little dude that he is. Please know how much credit and genuine thanks we give you both.

It also bears mention that you so gracefully welcomed P’s involvement with him. Being able to visit him, and come to drop off with him definitely seems to have helped facilitate their loving relationship, where I really never see jealousy or anything mean spirited between them.

You are each truly talented and gifted at what you do. I’m sure you know that, but I wanted you to hear it from us. We thank you.”

Wow! There is so much goodness in that message! What sticks out to me is that this family totally recognizes the pivotal role these talented educators have played in the development of their young son. They are super aware of the fact that Jess and Rachel’s room is Not Daycare. The love and support they have offered this child and, by extension, the entire family, goes way beyond daycare. Those teachers are, as that value reminds us, SO MUCH MORE!
Thanks, Jess and Rachel, for living our values!
