Leadership Overview
Kate Cannella
Executive Director
Kate has been part of the Little Sprouts team since 2003. Earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Boston University, she began as a preschool/kindergarten teacher, and also taught infants and toddlers. In 2005, Kate became the Preschool Assistant Director, and in 2007, she started her role as Executive Director. Kate takes great pride in knowing all of the families at her school, and enjoys spending time with the students every day. Outside of Little Sprouts, Kate is married and has two children. She loves spending time with her family and seeing her children grow at Little Sprouts.
Melissa Pitari
Education Coach
Developing a passion for it when she was in high school, Melissa has worked in the early childhood education field since 2000. Both Director I and Director II certified, Melissa achieved her associate’s degree, and is now working toward her bachelor’s degree. She has found Little Sprouts to be closely knit, happy environment, and her passion is to give children the love and support they need to become our amazing next generation. Melissa and her husband have three children that keep them busy with activities ranging from golf, baseball, hockey, cheerleading, basketball, dancing, gymnastics and skating. Her hobbies consist of jumping around from sporting event to sporting event, and she would not have it any other way.
